Pressure Reduction Stations

PRESSURE REDUCTION STATIONS

Natural gas is distributed through high pressure gas pipelines. The high pressure gas network links the natural gas compressor stations to downstream gas consumers.

Pressure reduction is required to reduce the gas pressure to meet client requirements. A pressure reduction station is made up of a number of modules to achieve the desired output gas conditions.

Tresca provides a comprehensive range of pressure reduction stations which are designed, engineered and tested to comply with Client Specifications as well as Australian and International standards.

Tresca’s Pressure Reduction Station consists of:
  • Gas Filtration: Filters / Scrubbers / Coalescers.
  • Gas Heating: Water Bath Heaters / Heat Exchangers / Vortex Heaters / Electric Heaters / Catalytic Heaters.
  • Gas Metering Skid.
  • Pressure Reduction Skid.
  • Pig Launchers and Receivers.
  • Instrumentation and Control.
  • Shutdown Valves and Pressure Relief systems.
  • Manual Isolation Valves.
Advantages of Tresca’s Pressure Reduction Stations:
  • Provides extremely accurate pressure and temperature control.
  • Built-in redundancies for critical applications.
  • Modular designs minimise field erection time – shorter overall project delivery schedule.
  • Skids are completely customised to suit client requirements and application.
  • Onsite support: Installation / Training / Start-Up Supervision.
  • Numerous control arrangements can be programmed to provide a completely autonomous operation for different modes of operation.
  • Built-in safety systems including Station Shutdown Valves, Pressure relief valves, Slam-shut run isolation valves.
  • Tresca’s pressure reduction stations are designed, manufactured, tested, commissioned and certified to comply with applicable Australian and International standards.
