HEAT EXCHANGERS
Tresca’s heat exchanger packages are used to heat natural gas in upstream and downstream gas processing operations. The heat exchanger package consists of a shell and tube heat exchanger, a fired water heater and water circulation pumps.
The heat exchanger system provides a high degree of temperature control and increased redundancy. The use of conventional water heaters and pumps reduce the cost and turnaround time required for the manufacture of such system.
The installation, maintenance and repairs are also simplified due to abundant availability of locally sourced spare parts and labor.
The modular system provides an alternative to conventional water bath heaters for sites where electrical power is available. The system is highly flexible and can be designed to suit various applications and site configurations.
Common Applications:
- Pressure Reduction Stations:
— Increase gas temperature upstream of the pressure reduction operation to combat the Joule Thompson effect.
— Ensure safe non-freeze operation of the pressure reduction station equipment and associated piping by maintaining safe working temperatures.
— Increase the gas temperature above that needed for hydrate formation at the operating pressure within the downstream gas network
- Turbine Fuel Gas Preheating. E.g. Gas fired power stations
- City gate stations.
- Wellhead gas conditioning.
- Upstream gas processing operations.
- Industrial applications.
Advantages of Tresca’s Heat Exchange packages:
- High thermal efficiency of upto 92%.
- Low noise output down to 50 dBA @ 1m.
- Low NOX Emissions.
- Modular design resulting in reduced site installation costs.
- Standard equipment is used (Pumps and water heaters). • Various arrangements to provide smaller footprints.
- Indoor and outdoor applications.
- Reliable and safe operation with built in redundancies.
- Shorter manufacturing times and lower capital costs when compared to conventional water bath heaters.
